Cycle ride to Empress Garden and Live Painting

Artfest 10 opened with a Cycle Ride on Sunday 30th May 2010. The ride commenced at 7.30 a.m. from Cafe Goodluck near Deccan Gymkhana and ended at Empress Garden with breakfast being served to all the cyclists. More than 50 cyclists participated in this unique ride. This cycle ride which was non commercial is part of Artfest 10 and has been entirely planned by Indiaart and Art India Foundation with active help and good wishes from the community of fellow cyclists.

From 9 a.m. onwards at Empress Garden, 55 artists painted live on themes related to Environment to commemorate World Environment Day ( WED 2010 ).

Indiaart and Art India Foundation have organised Artfest 10 which aims at making an active statement for the environment and raise the consciousness of the society through an art initiative.

Artfest 10 opened on Sunday 30th May with a Cycle Ride to Empress Garden where more than 50 artists painted live, each one making their own statement on preservation of environment and a hope for a greener tomorrow.

All these paintings were displayed during a special show on Saturday 5th June which happens to be the World Environment Day ( WED 2010 ) and Sunday 6th June at Empress garden, Pune from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m
